It's Chloe's 16th Birthday!
Chloe loves birthday parties. She thinks every birthday cake and birthday song is for her. So birthday celebrations for Chloe are extra special.
On her birthday, we did everything she loves and that starts with spending time as a family, walking outdoors, and enjoying all the smells at one of her favorite places. The beach. It's the beginning of Spring so the weather here is amazing. So off we go!
We live in Seoul so going to the beach requires a little road trip to the other side of the country. While this is a mini vacation, as you can see, I like to be prepared.
Once we're n the road, we like to stop at rest areas for lunch and snacks. In Korea, this is one of the fun parts of road trips.
The dog-friendly hotel we stay at is in a perfect location for us: right on the beach. So once we arrived, we did a sunset walk along the beach to breathe in the salty air before heading to dinner.
The hotel buffet is also dog-friendly so we could conveniently dine at the hotel and relax before a full day of birthday party excitement.
The next day we celebrated Chloe's birthday: eating birthday cake, singing Happy Birthday throughout the day, walking along the beach early in the morning, smelling all the new smells, enjoying the birthday present from grandma (a new food bowl!).
The weather was perfect. The walks were perfect. The meals were perfect. It was a perfect day.
The next day, we packed up to head back home. But first, we headed out for another walk along the beach...
followed by a lunch at one of our favorite dog-friendly burger spots.
